French immigrant at 21, married at 22, with no family in the U.S., when I found myself going through divorce in New York with two very small children at 31 years old, everything shifted: I had to find out who I wanted to be as a woman and a mother. Despite having a supportive ex husband, the trauma of divorce, combined with bouts of substance and alcohol abuse, was nonetheless intense, and my emotional and physical health was overlooked for years until I asked for help. Psychotherapy, anti-depressants, chiropractors all were great temporary solutions, but I felt stuck, anxious and achy all the time in my back, legs, arms... Since 2010, I received several Yoga certifications, studied the science and impact of Fitness training, received certificates in Personal Nutrition and Life & Health coaching, followed by a certification in Trauma Sensitive Yoga with CFTE, along with a solid structure to preserve my sobriety.
Indirect trauma was what I needed to uncover and address: misaligned life choices in career, relationships, lifestyle, personal boundaries, even finding the right type of physical exercise. All active contributors to feeling chronically stressed. And stress (excessive cortisol levels) affects everything, from our sleep to our digestion, from our mood to our contribution to society. Everything.
My recovery started when I stopped separating my mind from my body and soul. Every choice I make on a daily basis, every thought that comes through my mind, has direct consequences on my vitality, my energy and my ability to self heal. With LIMITLESS DISCIPLINE, my main focus is to create a safe environment where, through collaborative work, my clients can discover what gets in the way of their best life.
Because life is now, and soon is just a few breaths away.
